If a once – in -a lifetime trip to see elephants frolicking in the mud, a lioness grooming her cubs or impala bounding through the air is on your bucket list (and really, how could it not be?), then head 2 and a half hours south of the Victoria Falls to Zimbabwe’s premier park, the Hwange National Park. It has some of the finest gatherings of wild animals to be seen in the whole of Africa. Hwange has some of Africa’s biggest concentrations of elephant, big herds of buffalo, eland, impala, sable, groups of zebras, wild dogs and so many others, with the highest probability of spotting the big 5.

Start the day bright and early and drive for about 2 and a half hours to the National Park

Upon arrival, embark on a three-hour game drive visiting several waterholes where animals gather for a drink.

Enjoy a picnic lunch on specially designated areas, with refreshments served throughout the day.

After lunch, embark on another game drive, this time with more animals making an appearance as it gets cooler.

The tour ends at approximately 4pm, where the drive back to Victoria Falls commences.
